Faristol is built within an old Catalan style mansion with colonial flourishes. It has been restored with great care, and all its quaint old characteristics have been mantained. The first floor is comprised of the old kitchen and dining room, and the latter still boasts beautiful old fresco paintings on all four walls
The second floor has been converted into five exclusive double rooms each with private bathroom, the old stencilled paintings still on the walls, and magnificent balconies overlooking either the sea at the back of the house such as the picture below, or the main street at the front. Service is friendly and personal, and Lynne and Agustí attend to all needs and/or problems.

Faristol ofers in its Restaurant, delicious dishes from traditional Catalan cuisine -You can enjoy tipical specialities fromTarragona area such as the "Rabitt withl Romesco Sauce" the "Escalivada (Barbacued Aubergines and Pepper) with anchovies"or, in the winter season, the famous "Calçots"(Fresh Spring Onions cooked in vine flames in the open garden) and deeped in romesco sauce. In automn, you would be able to enjoy game dishes like "Wid boar stew with fresh musrooms"". All year trough you can rty the great specialities from the clay oven like the "Tandoori Chicken"or incredible "shoulder of lamb""
When summer arrives, the whole restaurant moves outside, filling the delightful garden with the sound of contented voices and chinking plates with the stars and the moon as only guests. In the old wine cellar, Agustí has established a personal selection of wines including very old Rioja reservas, the sparkling white wines from Penedes together with the full bodied Tarragona reds famous since Roman times. You can also enjoy the new Prioratos considered recentily as one the best reds in the world not to mention the Ribera del Duero or the Somontano wines..

Faristol is not only a restaurant or just another small Hotel. It tends to be much more than that, with antiques on every wall, a great selection of old paintings and prints to ponder over or to barter for, mirrors, old musical instruments, a great variety of curious objects, and great care taken in maintaining the artistic and musical atmosphere. One of Faristol?s attractions is it?s music bar where we can enjoy live music many evenings, and even hear Agustí himself playing the tenor saxophone or the guitar acompanied by piano or other instruments which any willing member of the public can supply for him.
That is the reason that so many people celebrated their parties in Faristol where they can enjoy good food, beautiful roooms and an incredible atmosphere.
